Technical Cookies

Mana Forge does not use any cookie for tracking or profiling purposes. The only technical cookie set is NEXT_LOCALE, a first-party cookie that stores the interface language you have selected, so it can be applied again on later visits. It may be set automatically by the framework on first navigation (for example based on your browser language) or when you select a language: in either case it stays on your device and is not shared with any third party. It is a session cookie (Path=/, SameSite=Lax, with no Max-Age expiry) that the browser deletes when it is closed. As a technical cookie necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested (your choice of language), it is exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and the Garante guidelines: it therefore requires no banner.

Authentication, on the other hand, does not use cookies: it relies on a Bearer token stored in the browser's localStorage, which is not a cookie and does not require consent under GDPR.

Analytics Cookies (only with your consent)

We use Hotjar/Contentsquare for behavioral analytics (session recordings and heatmaps) solely to improve site usability. The related cookies are set only if you consent via the banner: if you decline or make no choice, the script is not loaded and no cookie is set. Hotjar masks typed field data by default. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR). See the Hotjar privacy policy and our Privacy Policy.

Manage Consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it:

What We Do Not Use

  • No advertising or profiling cookies for marketing purposes
  • No sale or transfer of your data to third parties
  • No active analytics without your explicit consent

Error monitoring (Sentry) does not use cookies: it transmits diagnostic data only in the event of a crash. Details in the Privacy Policy.

Local Storage

We use the browser's localStorage to save non-sensitive preferences:

  • mf_token: Authentication token to access the service
  • mf_onboarded: Whether you have completed the initial tutorial
  • mf_cookie_consent: Your choice on analytics cookie consent (accepted/declined)

This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to third parties.

Managing Browser Data

You can delete localStorage data from your browser settings. Note: deleting the token will log you out of your account.
