by @shabola92 · 3 min readis a mono-black attacker whose attack trigger creates an informational coin-flip: if the opponent guesses wrong about the top card's type (land/nonland), you draw a card and Gollum becomes unblockable that turn; if they guess right, Gollum is removed from combat. This deck supports him with heavy equipment (themed Swords, , / scaling off Swamps) to make him a huge threat whenever he connects, and uses to guarantee unblockability regardless of the trigger's outcome, eliminating the risk of being removed from combat.
Game plan: ramp fast with , , , and // to generate massive black mana off Swamps (22 in the deck), then equip Gollum and swing. , , and similar Swords add damage and card advantage on each hit. halves the opponent's life on combat damage, drastically accelerating the kill. and exploit the deck's high black devotion and Swamp count for extra life drain. lets you re-equip for free during combat.
